This section describes the machine ' s safety equipment,
its purpose, and how checks and maintenance should be
carried out to ensure that it operates correctly. See the

WARNING! Never use a machine that has
!
faulty safety equipment! Safety
equipment must be inspected and
maintained. If the safety equipment or
any machine parts are damaged in any
way take it to a service workshop for
repair.
Cover and spray guards
The cover and the spray guard must always be used when
sawing.
The cover and spray guard provides protection against
contact with moving parts, ejected debris, thrown water
and concrete slurry. The spray guards are also designed
to catch the diamond chain if it snaps or jump off.
We recommend that both spray guards are fitted but in
some applications (sawing aligned to floor or ceiling) one
spray guard might be temporarily removed. At least the
spray guard in the direction of the spray must be fitted. Put
back the removed spray guard after cut.
Check the cover and the spray guard.
Ensure there are no cracks or holes from slurry blasting in
the cover and guards.
Replace cover or guards if damaged.
