Removing the protective filter
The protective filter (43 mm [1-11/16 inches] diameter) over the eyepiece unit can be removed.

Remove the eye cup.

Rotate the protective filter
counterclockwise, and remove it.
Remounting the protective filter

Rotate the protective filter clockwise, and remount it.

Attach the eye cup.
Note
Do not leave the eyepiece outdoors pointing at the sun. Heat from the sunlight may damage the
parts inside.
Maintenance
When there is dust or dirt on the LCD monitor or mirror, flip up the viewfinder barrel unit, and blow the dust
or dirt away with a blower, etc.
If any dirt is still left, wipe it away using a soft cloth.
