BREAKING IN THE PUMP
See Figures 4 - 7.
Check and tighten all bolts, fittings, etc.
Turn the pressure regulator knob fully clockwise to
open the air flow.
Place the lever of the pressure switch in 'OFF' position
and plug in the power cord.
Open the drain valve completely.
Fill the pump with oil before starting the air compressor.
See page 16.
Place the lever of the pressure switch in 'AUTO'
position and run the air compressor for 10 minutes to
break in pump parts.
Place the lever of the pressure switch in 'OFF' position.
Close the drain valve.
WARMING UP THE PUMP
See Figures 4 - 7.
Check and tighten all bolts, fittings, etc.
Turn the pressure regulator knob fully clockwise to
open the air flow.
Place the lever of the pressure switch in 'OFF' position
and plug in the power cord.
Open the drain valve completely.
Fill the pump with oil before starting the air compressor.
See page 16. The oil capacity is 16.85 oz (0.5 liters).
Flip the lever of the pressure switch to the 'AUTO'
position and run the air compressor for 30-40 seconds
with the tank drain open to warm up the system.
Repeat this starting procedure on a daily basis.
Close the tank drain valve.
At the end of the day or completion of each task move
the lever of the pressure switch to the 'OFF' position,
unplug the power cord, open the tank drain slowly, and
capture the tank condensate. Dispose of condensate in
a responsible manner at the city garage.
Change the oil after a break-in period of 40 hours.
