HYGIENIC PREPARATION
Switch off the appliance before each cleaning operation and unplug the mains cable from the socket.
CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
Use only a cloth moistened with antibacterial detergent (non-abrasive and free of solvents of any kind).
COLLECTION VESSEL AND CONNECTION PIPES
• Detach the cannula (16) (NOT INCLUDED WITH THE DEVICE), the manual aspirated flow control (15) and the tube (8) from the vessel
(9). Detach the filter (7) from the vessel (9), disconnect the pipe (6) from both the filter (7) and the air inlet of the device (5), take the
vessel from its stand in an upright position and empty it (at home in the toilet, in a hospital in the biological material container)
and clean the vessel, disassembling it as shown below:

Sanitisation
Before and after each use, sanitise the collection vessel and connection pipes by choosing one of the methods as described below.
(method A): rinse individual components in hot drinking water (approx. 40°C) with mild dishwashing detergent (non-abrasive) or in
a dishwasher on a hot cycle.
(method B): soak the individual components in a solution of 50% water and 50% white vinegar. Finally, rinse them thoroughly with
warm (about 40°C) drinking water.
(method C): boil the individual components in water for 10 minutes; demineralised or distilled water is preferable to avoid lime
deposits.
After sanitising the accessories, shake them vigorously and place them on a paper towel, or alternatively dry them with a hot air jet
(e.g. hair dryer).
Disinfection
The disinfection procedure described in this section is to be carried out before using the accessories and is only effective on the com-
ponents to be treated if every point is followed and only if the components to be treated are sanitised beforehand.
The disinfectant must be of the electrolytic chloride type (active ingredient: sodium hypochlorite), specific for disinfection and avail-
able in all pharmacies.
Procedure:
- Fill a container of a suitable size to hold all the individual components to be disinfected with a solution of drinking water and disin-
fectant, observing the proportions indicated on the packaging of the disinfectant.
- Completely immerse each individual component in the solution, taking care to avoid the formation of air bubbles in contact with
the components. Leave the components immersed for the period of time indicated on the disinfectant packaging, and associated
with the concentration chosen for the preparation of the solution.
- Recover the disinfected components and rinse them thoroughly with lukewarm drinking water.
- After disinfecting the accessories, shake them vigorously and place them on a paper towel, or alternatively dry them with a hot air
jet (e.g. hair dryer).
- Dispose of the solution according to the disinfectant manufacturer's instructions.
Sterilisation
The sterilisation procedure described in this section is only effective on treated components if it is adhered to in all points and only if
the components to be treated are sanitised beforehand, and is validated in accordance with ISO 17665-1.
Equipment: Steam steriliser with fractionated vacuum and overpressure compliant with EN 13060.
Procedure: Package each individual component to be treated in sterile barrier system or packaging in accordance with EN
11607. Insert the packed components into the steam steriliser, making sure to keep the vessel (9) upright.
Perform the sterilisation cycle in accordance with the instructions for use of the equipment by selecting a temperature of:
