reservoir is located down at the back, and
when the machine rotates, the pump is not
able to suck up the oil. The quantity of oil
in the reservoir is indicated by the level in
the oil gauge [1-8].

8.3 Electrical connection

WARNING
If the tool is used with an incorrect power
supply, there is a risk of injury.
The SSP 200 EB sword saw can only be
connected to a single-phase power supply
with 230V/50–60Hz alternating current.
The machine has a class II protective cover-
ing according to EN 60 745-1 and has noise
suppression according to EN 55 014.
Before operating the machine, make sure
that the voltage of the socket corresponds
to the voltage information stated on the
label of the machine.
The portable cord can be extended in the
following manner, if necessary:
- Length 20 m, cross-section of wires
3 × 1.5 mm
2
- Length 50 m, cross-section of wires
3 × 2.5 mm
2
Use only appropriately marked extension
cords intended for use outdoors.

Operation

9.1 Switching on and off

Before switching the machine on, tighten all
clamping and fi xing bolts. Handle the ma-
chine with both hands, and put it on the cut-
ting piece so that the chain is loose and will
not stick inside the cut after activation.
To turn on
Press the unlocking button [1-1] on the top
of the handle and hold it; then press the
motor switch button [1-2].
To turn off
Let up on the motor switch button [1-2].
The unlocking button [1-1] will return to
its initial position and prevent an unwanted
start-up. When the machine is turned off,
an electric brake activates and signifi cantly
shortens the run-down time of the chain.
Do not remove the machine from the cut-
ting piece until the chain is at a standstill.

9.2 Controlling chain and guide
bar lubrication
The quantity of lubricating oil can be con-
trolled using a feed pump [5-2]. When you
press the feed pump, [5-2] the 0, 1, 2 and
MAX positions can be set at a notch [5-1].
Position 0 ensures minimum lubrication for
clean cuts, but must not be used perma-
nently, and after such cuts the chain and
plate must be lubricated with an increased
quantity. For permanent operation the quan-
tity should be set to level 2 and MAX.

9.3 Cut indicator

When cutting without the guide rail, ad-
just the chain's internal cutting plane using
all of the indicators on the guide runner:
- Indicator 0° [4-1] for rectangular cuts
- For bevel cuts:
• indicator 45° [4-4]
• indicator 60° [4-5]
To determine the chain's external cutting
plane, use cutting profi le indicators [4-6].
For cutting with the guide rail (GRP 800/
1400/3000-2; Fig. [8]), adjust the chain's
inner cutting plane using only cut indica-
tor 0° [4-1].

9.4 Guide ruler

Slide the guide ruler [1-3] into the holders
in the runner [1-6] and secure it with the
hand screws [1-5]. The guide ruler allows
parallel cuts along an even edge.

9.5 Exhaust

CAUTION!
Inhaled dust may damage respiratory or-
gans.
► During dusty jobs, wear a respiratory
mask and have the machine connected
to exhaust equipment.
To exhaust sawdust or dust, ordinary vacu-
um cleaner suction hoses can be connected
to the opening of the rotary exhaust adap-
tor [1-10].

10 Using accessories

On the bottom part of the suction runner, the
machine has a longitudinal groove for mount-
ing on the guide rail. Thus larger dimensions
can be made more easily and more precisely.
