INSTALLATION MANUAL

OUTDOOR UNIT INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING THE OUTDOOR UNIT
STEP 1: SELECTING THE INSTALLATION LOCATION
The outdoor unit should be installed in a location that meets the following requirements.
• Place the outdoor unit as close to the indoor unit as possible.
• Make sure there is enough space for installation and maintenance.
• The air inlet and outlet must not be obstructed or exposed to strong winds.
• Make sure the location of the unit does not accumulate snow, leaves or other seasonal debris.
• If possible, protect the unit with a canopy. Make sure the awning does not obstruct air flow.
• The installation area must be dry and well ventilated.
• There must be sufficient space to install the connecting pipes and cables and access them for
maintenance.
• The area must be free of combustible gases and chemicals.
• The length of the pipe between the outdoor and indoor unit cannot exceed the maximum allowable
pipe length.
• If possible, DO NOT INSTALL the unit in locations exposed to direct sunlight,
• If possible, make sure the unit is located away from your neighbors' properties so that noise from
the unit does not disturb them.
• If the location is exposed to strong winds (for example: near the beach), the unit should be placed
against the wall to protect it from the wind. If necessary, use an awning. (See Img. 5.1 and 5.2).
• Install indoor and outdoor units and cables at least 1 meter away from televisions or radio equip-
ment to avoid interference to image or sound. Depending on radio waves, a distance of 1 meter may
not be enough to eliminate all interference.
