The gantry lamp modules have a mounting cut-out to accommodate
the controls for the hot plate.
The gantry lamp modules are also controlled via the controls for the
hot plate and the functions are switched on according to the selected
operating mode. The additional heat generated by the gantry lamp
modules is detected by the temperature sensor of the hot plate to
record the surface temperature and is thus indirectly used to control
the current temperature of the hot plate.
