– Should you decide to put the burner out of service definitively, dismantling must be carried out by professio-
nally qualified personnel as follows:
a) Disconnect the electrical power supply by detaching the main switch power lead.
b) Shut off the fuel supply via the manual check valve and remove the two handwheels from their seats.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
– Make sure that the person who has carried out burner installation has fixed it to the boiler securely so that the
flame is generated inside the boiler combustion chamber.
– Before igniting the boiler, or at least once a year, have the following tasks carried out by
professionally qualified personnel:
a) Calibrate burner fuel flow according to the power required by the boiler.
b) Regulate combustion air flow so as to obtain a combustion efficiency value which is at least equal to the
minimum required by standards in force.
c) Carry out a combustion check to prevent formation of noxious/polluting unburned fuel in excess of limits
allowed by the standards in force.
d) Check that adjustment and safety devices are working properly.
e) Check that the fume evacuation duct is working properly
f) Check, when adjustment is over, that the mechanical lock systems on the adjustment devices are secured
properly.
g) Make sure that the burner use and maintenance instructions are kept in the boiler room.
– In the event of repeated burner lockout do not insist with manual reset: contact professionally
qualified personnel to have the fault repaired properly.
– Operation and maintenance must be carried out by professionally qualified personnel only in
compliance with the standards in force.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE ACCORDING TO TYPE OF FUEL
3a) ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY
– The electrical apparatus is only safe when it is has an efficient earth (ground) connection; this
connection must be made in compliance with the safety standards in force.
This essential safety requisite must be checked. If you have any doubts, have the electrical system checked
by professionally qualified personnel: the manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damages resulting from
failure to effect a proper earth connection.
Have the electrical system checked by professionally qualified personnel to make sure it is suitable for the
maximum absorbed power of the unit (shown on the ID plate); in particular, make sure that wiring cross-sec-
tion is suitable for the absorbed power of the unit.
– The unit must not be powered from the mains via adapters, multiple sockets and/or extension leads.
Connection to the mains must be effected by way of an omnipolar switch as per the safety
standards in force.
– Using components that run on electrical power always involves observance of the following
fundamental rules:
–
do not touch the unit with any parts of the body which are wet or damp and/or with naked feet.
– do not pull or tug electrical leads.
– do not leave the unit exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, etc.), unless expressly allowed.
–
do not allow children or inexpert persons to use the unit.
– The power lead must not be replaced by the user.
Should the lead be damaged switch off the unit and have it replaced by professionally qualified personnel
only.
