The motor will not start:
1. Move the accelerator lever to Fast or Start.
2. Make sure the fuel tank is full with clean gasoline.
Do not use old gasoline.
3. For cold motor, press the "Primer" button 3 times
(optional in some models).
4. Make sure the spark plug wire is connected.
5. Too much gasoline in the motor cylinders.
Remove and dry the spark plug. Place the control
lever to Slow. Slowly pull the start rope several
times. Place the spark plug and connect the wire.
Start the motor.
6. Make sure the brake retractable lever is in
operation position.
7. For electric models, make sure they are plugged
in.
Poor motor performance:
1. Check the height of the cut. Increase the cut
height if the grass is high.
2. Check the lower part of the mower. Clean the
grass and debris from the inside of the mower.
3. Check the spark plug wire. Make sure the wire is
connected.
4. Clean the motor cooling fin.
5. Check the opening of the spark plug. Gauge the
opening of the spark plug allowing a clearance of
0.76 mm.
6. Check the motor air filter; keep it clean.
7. The gasoline is bad. Empty and clean the fuel
tank. Fill it up with clean fuel.
Excessive vibration:
1. Remove the blade. Check and balance if
necessary. Refer to the instructions in the manual.
2. Check for fissures or dents on the blade.
A damaged blade is dangerous and must be
replaced.
3. Check the blade securing flange. Replace if
damaged.
4. If vibration continues, take the mower to a TRAPP
Authorized Technical Assistance.
Problems and Solutions
Grass is not properly collected:
1.
Clean the lower part of the mower.
2. Check whether the blade is worn. Remove the
blade and sharpen it. For safety reasons, replace
the blade every 2 years.
3. Move the accelerator control lever to Fast.Check
whether the motor speed is correct.
Grass is not cut:
1. Check height adjustment in each wheel. It must
be the same for all wheels.
2. Make sure the blade is sharp.
3.
Check whether the blade is dented or broken.
A damaged blade is dangerous and must be
replaced.
Important:
Frequently check that the nuts and bolts
are tightened.
Do not allow grass to build up under the
grass mower base.
Do not clean the machine with running
water, as this may damage the electric
circuits of the engine.
Always check the cutting blade, ensuring
that it is well balanced and firmly attached
to the engine shaft.
When required, seek TRAPP Technical
Assistance.
