7. CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
ATTENTION: Clean and maintain your compressor carefully and regularly. This is the only way to
ensure proper operation and a long service life. Regardless of the number of jobs or performances, service
and clean the unit after each use.
As far as possible, inspections, adjustments and maintenance work should be carried out by the same
person or his substitute and documented in a maintenance book.
Be sure to observe the following instructions when carrying out maintenance and cleaning work:
• Switch off the compressor before carrying out any work on it.
• Disconnect the compressor from the mains by unplugging it. This disconnects the compressor from the
mains.
• Release pressure from the compressor to avoid material damage. You can, for example, connect a
compressed air blow gun to the compressor and thus empty the pressure vessel.
• Before each use, check the machine for damage, especially the cable and plug.
• Check the safety valve.
• The machine must not be used if any of the safety components are damaged.
• Use only original spare parts and accessories.
• Do not clean the machine and its parts with solvents, flammable or toxic materials.
• Clean the device only when it is switched off and cool.
• Clean the housing only with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• Before servicing, clean the device of any hazardous substances that may have accumulated on it (due
to work processes). Avoid any skin contact with these substances. If the skin comes into contact with
hazardous dusts, it may cause severe dermatitis. If dust is generated or raised during maintenance work,
it can be inhaled.
• Always wear protective gloves and mask!
• Release the compressor pressure to avoid material damage. You can, for example, connect a compressed
air blow gun to the compressor and thus empty the pressure vessel.
• To protect it from dirt, the compressor must be covered after each use. The packaging can be used to
store the compressor.
• Do not cover the compressor until it has cooled down completely.
• Store the compressor and its instruction manual together. Store the machine and its accessories in a
dark, dry, dust-free and frost-free place.
Environmental protection
Take the machine to a clean point. Do not reuse components as spare parts as they may be damaged.
Ensure that parts such as cables and the like do not come into contact with the environment at the end of
their service life. The compressor must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
