Line Trace
Line Trace – activates the internal transmitter to inject a locate signal onto the push
cable. The length of deployed push cable can now be located and traced above ground
with a locator set to the matching Line Trace frequency. The M18™ 500GB Control Hub
must be properly grounded when using the Line Trace feature. See section 3.3.3 in this
manual covering the Grounding Post for additional information.
1. Turn the navigation dial to Line Trace
, press the navigation dial.
2. Turn the navigation dial to select a Line Trace frequency of 33kHz or 83kHz and
press the navigation dial.
