7.0.1.2 How to fi t adhesive weights based on
given dimensions
If the correction positions are not accessible with the
gauge arm and the wheel dimensions have been
entered using the function keys:
— Fit adhesive weights in the given positions according
to the balancing mode. Make sure to observe the
given positioning dimensions (Fig. 7-07).
Dimensional tolerances result in slight deviations of
the measured values so that the weight may need to
be repositioned after the check run. In this case an OK
indication is not displayed after the check run.
7.0.1.3
Using the Gauge Arm
Refer to Figure 5.52.
The gauge arm must be used to apply the stick-on
weight(s).
—
Manually move the wheel if you need to correct
the left plane compensation position (green
arrows in the left-hand WAP position).
A
CAUTION: MOVE AWAY FROM THE WHEEL
Note:
—
Press the pedal of the main shaft lock to hold the
wheel in this position.
Decide to use Hidden Weight Mode «SWM» now (
—
Clean the fi tting position before attaching the
adhesive weights.
—
Insert at the centre of the gauge arm an
adhesive weight that complies with the imbalance
measured and remove the protective tape from
the adhesive strip (A, Fig. 5-52).
Note:
• Apply the weight to the correct point on the rim.
If you touch the imbalance value the
wheel moves automatically to the weights
application position.
When, while removing the arm, you reach
the application position, the arm stops
automatically (ASS), a small green arrow
appears on the screen (1, Fig. 5-53) and
a "beep" can be heard.
