10.2 Engine air filter maintenance.
NOTE: The dirt in the air filter reduces the air flow in the carburettor, limiting its
combustion and promoting serious engine problems. Clean the air filter regularly,
according to the maintenance plan in this manual. In dusty areas, filter cleaning should be
more frequent.

Unscrew and remove the fastener (1)

Remove the filter cover (2)

Unscrew and remove the fastener (3)

Remove the filter (4-5)

Separate the sponged prefilter (5) from
the cartridge (4)

Clean only the prefilter using a solution of
soap and water, let it dry completely.

With the prefilter very dry, immerse it in oil
of the same type of the engine.

Squeeze the sponged prefilter by hand
until all excess of oil is drained.

Shake the paper filter (cartridge) against a
hard surface, you can also clean with an
air compressor (maximum 2 BAR).
10 With the paper filter cleaned, place the sponged prefilter over the paper filter and mount
the complete and clean filter in the compressor, following the same steps of
disassembly.
