6.4. COMMUNICATION BETWEEN
DEVICES.
The SLC ENERGY MANAGER device and the EQUINOX2
solar inverter must be connected to each other in order
to be able to monitor the consumption, generation and energy
data exported and imported from the grid at all times, so that
they appear in the EQX-sun application.
Materials required that
are
not included
It is only necessary if you have an SLC ENERGY
MANAGER LITE device (no WiFi module) or if you have
sufficient WiFi coverage from any SLC ENERGY MANAGER
device.
It is advisable to prepare the communication cables
before installation.
Hose
1: Single twisted pair shielded cable, 0.25 mm
section, for communications between the inverter (table 1 con-
nectors) and the SLC Energy Manager device.

6.4.1. Connection of the SLC ENERGY MANAGER
device with the EQUINOX2 solar inverter.
Connect the hose indicated in the previous section as follows:
1.
One end of Hose 1 to pins A and B of the RS485-1 Port of
the SLC ENERGY MANAGER, and the other to the Inverter.
Screw in the appropriate connector as indicated in Table 4.
To the Investor
It is recommended to use
ferrules to connect the
terminals of both communication
bundles.
Attention: Respect the
polarity of the 485+ and
485- communication cables.
