1.1 Rear side of scanner
1 Mounting bracket
2 Setscrews for the mounting bracket
3 DMX output: XLR, 3-pole
1 = ground, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+
4 DMX input: XLR, 3-pole
1 = ground, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+
5 Jack for the remote control LC-3 or FSC-3 avail -
able as an accessory
6 Indicating LED
– lights up constantly or flickers to the rhythm of
the music: master mode
– flashes continuously: DMX mode or slave mode
7 DIP switches Nos. 1 to 9 for adjusting the DMX
start address (→ chapter 6.2) and for selecting the
master/slave mode (→ chapter 6.1);
DIP switch No. 10 for selecting the operating mode
in the slave mode (→ chapter 6.1.1, item 2)
8 Microphone for music control
9 Mains jack for connection to a socket (230 V~/
50 Hz) via the supplied mains cable
10 Holder for the mains fuse; only replace a blown
fuse by one of the same type!
11 Cover for the lamp compartment
12 Recessed head screw for the cover (11) of the
lamp compartment
13 Operating LED

14 Button STANDBY for the function Blackout
(mirror in starting position and light off)
15 Button FUNCTION
– in the strobe/sound mode for activating a strobe
effect (as long as the button is pressed)
– in the pattern/sound mode for selecting one of
the twelve preset movement patterns for the
mirror
– in the sound mode for changing the gobos

Note: For the control via the remote control no DMX
signal must be present at the input DMX IN (4).

2 Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to all required directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING The unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave servic -
ing to skilled personnel only. Never
make any modification not described in
this instruction manual and do not insert
anything through the air vents! This
may cause an electric shock hazard.
It is essential to observe the following items:

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).

Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g. drink-
ing glasses, on the unit.
G
Do not set the unit into operation, and immediately
disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the unit or to the mains
cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or simi-
lar accident,
3. malfunctions occur.
The unit must in any case be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.

Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains
plug from the mains socket, always seize the plug.
G
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the unit is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not safely mounted, not
correctly operated, or not repaired in an expert way.

Important for U.K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord -
ance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the ter minals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must
be con nected to the terminal in the plug which is
mark ed with the letter E or by the earth symbol
, or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con -
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con -
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning - This appliance must be earthed.
If the unit is to be put out of operation de fini -
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.
