3 INSTALLATION
3.3 Choice of position
Always observe the following:
• Always install the appliance as close to the centre of the vehicle as
possible.
• Make sure there are no obstacles that could hinder assembly.
• Electric cables may be laid between the external and internal layers
of the roof. Before starting the installation, disconnect all poles of the
power supply.
• Do not exceed the roof weight-bearing capacity (see data supplied by
the vehicle manufacturer).
• Check that there are no obstacles in the internal installation site.
• Fit a reinforcement frame supplied by SR Mecatronic (min. 25 mm)
around the roof opening between the upper and lower layers of the roof.
It may be necessary to remove the insulation.
If you install the air conditioning system in place of the roof window
with the safety ventilation aperture, be sure to replace the ventilation aper-
ture at another suitable location.
