Starting the unit
Be particularly careful to observe the following precau-
tions when starting the unit:
Always ensure all handles and guards are fitted. Keep
the handles dry, clean, and free of oil.
Check that none of the nuts and bolts are loose.
Check that the guide bar are not damaged or excessive-
ly worn. If you find any abnormalities, do not use the
product.
Operate the chain saw only in well-ventilated areas. Oil
mist (from chain saw lubrication) or saw dust is harmful
to health.
Leave plenty of space around the product and do not al-
low people or animals near it.
Never operate a chain saw when you are alone. Arrange
to have someone remain within calling distance in case
you need help.
Remove obstructions, if any.
Make sure that the saw chain are not touching the
ground or any obstacles.
Failure to observe the precautions could cause an accident
or injury, or even lead to a fatality.
Once the unit has started, check for abnormal vibra-
tions and sounds
Check that there are no abnormal vibrations or sounds
once the unit starts. Do not use the product if there are
abnormal vibrations or sounds. Contact your dealer to
have it repaired.
Accidents involving parts that fall or shatter off can cause
wounds or serious injury.
For safe use of your product
WARNING
Instructions to disconnect the battery
Whenever the machine is left by the user.
Before clearing a blockage.
Before checking, cleaning or working on the machine.
After striking a foreign object to inspect the machine for
damage.
If the machine starts to vibrate abnormally, for immedi-
ately check.
An accident could occur if the product starts unexpectedly.
Do not touch high temperature or high voltage com-
ponents while the product is running
Do not touch the following high temperature or high volt-
age components while the product is running or for some
time after it stops.
High temperature components
You could burn yourself if you touch a high
temperature component.
High voltage components
You could receive an electric shock if you
touch a high voltage component while the
product is running.
Turn off the unit when checking or maintaining the
product
Observe the following precautions when checking and
maintaining your product after use:
Turn off the unit and do not attempt to check or maintain
the product until the unit has cooled.
You could burn yourself.
