Preparations

This section explains preparation required before
operating the monitor, and how to connect to other
equipment.
For detailed information on connecting the monitor to other
equipment, refer also to the instruction manuals supplied
with the equipment.

Connecting the AC Power Cord

Connect the supplied AC power cord to the ⁄ (AC
input) socket and to a wall outlet.
To connect an AC power cord securely with the AC plug holder
Before connecting the AC power cord to the ⁄ (AC
input) socket and to a wall outlet, we recommend
connecting an AC power cord securely with the AC
plug holder as follows .

Note
Always turn off the power to the monitor and other
equipment before making connections.
Cautions on power connection
• Use the supplied AC power cord.
• Turn off the mains supply switch before connecting
or removing the AC power cord.
• Make sure that the power supply conforms to the
voltage rating in "Specifications" on page 31.

Plug the AC power plug into the attached holder.
Then attach the supplied AC plug holder on the top
of the AC power cord.

Slide the AC plug holder over the cord until it
locks.

To disconnect the AC power cord
Note
Wait at least 30 seconds after turning off the u
(power) switch, before turning off the mains supply
switch then disconnecting the AC power cord to
discharge any static electricity from the CRT surface.
Pull out the AC plug holder while pressing the release
levers.
