Overload Clutch
In case of jamming of a drill bit, the drive to the
drill spindle is interrupted. Because of the resulting
forces, always hold the tool with both hands and
take a fi rm stance.
Brake Mechanism
When the variable speed switch is released,
the spindle will stop rotating instantly.
Active Vibration Control
The active vibration control neutralises rebound
vibration from the hammer mechanism. Lowering
hand and arm vibration, it allows more comfortable
use for longer periods of time and extends the
life of the unit. In operation, a spring loaded
mechanism counterbalances the vibration forces.
This can be sensed by the cushioning effect
when pressure is applied to the tool. Make sure
the spring is engaged but not too fi rmly. The
mechanism should be allowed to 'fl oat'.
