7. Operation
7.1 Manual settings
• Important: The device cannot be operated during the
DCF time-signal reception.
• The manually set time is overwritten once the DCF time
signal is successfully received.
7.1.1 Display change °C/°F
• Press the MIN/DATE/°C/°F button to select the tempera-
ture display in °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) as temper-
ature unit.
7.1.2 12-HR or 24-HR system
• Press the 12/24/YEAR button to choose between the 12-
hour or 24-hour system. In 12-hour system AM or PM
appears on the display.

7.1.3 LOCK/SET switch
• Press and hold the buttons in setting mode for fast mode.
• After setting slide the switch to the position LOCK.
7.1.3.1 Setting of the time
• Slide the switch to the position TIME SET.
• The time flashes on the display.
• Press the HOUR/MONTH button to adjust the hours.
• Press the MIN/DATE/°C/°F button to adjust the minutes.
7.1.3.2 Setting of the date
• Slide the switch to the position DATE SET.
• The date flashes on the display.
• Press the MIN/DATE/°C/°F, HOUR/MONTH and 12/24/
YEAR button to adjust the date.
7.1.3.3 Alarm time setting
• Slide the switch to the position AL SET.

• The alarm time (default 6:00) will be flashing on the dis-
play.
• Press the HOUR/MONTH button to adjust the hours.
• Press the MIN/DATE/°C/°F button to adjust the minutes.
7.1.4 Alarm functions
• Slide the switch to the position AL ON to activate the
alarm function.
• The alarm symbol and the snooze symbol appear on the
display.
• When the adjusted alarm time is reached, the alarm rings.
• If the alarm is not stopped manually, the ascending alarm
tone automatically turns off after one minute and the
alarm will be reactivated at the same set time on the fol-
lowing day. The alarm symbol and the snooze symbol
remain on the display.
• Press any button to turn off the alarm sound or press the
SNOOZE/LIGHT button to activate the snooze function.
• The backlight turns on for a short period.
• The snooze symbol flashes on the display.
• The alarm sound will be interrupted for five minutes.
• Press any button to turn off the snooze function.
• Slide the switch to AL OFF, to turn off the alarm function.
• The alarm symbol and the snooze symbol disappear from
the display.
8. Backlight
• Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button and the backlight will be
activated for 5 seconds.
• Move the SENSOR ON/OFF switch to ON, a weak backlight
turns on automatically as soon as the light sensor regis-
ters darkness.
9. Care and maintenance
• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use sol-
vents or scouring agents.
• Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for an
extended period of time.
• Keep the device in a dry place.
