At high altitude, the usual air–fuel mixture will be extremely
rich. Performance will decrease and fuel consumption will
increase. A very rich mixture will decrease the spark and
cause a bad start.
High altitude performance can be improved by installing
thinner fuel hoses in the carburettor and adjusting the idle
speed. If you always use the generator at altitudes above 15
00m above sea level, you should seek specialised technical
assistance to make the necessary adjustments. Even with
proper fuel injection, generator power decreases by an
average of 3.5% for every 300m increase in altitude. The
effect of altitude on power will be greater if the necessary
adjustments are not made.
If an engine prepared for high altitudes is used at low
altitudes,
the
performance levels and may overheat the engine causing
serious engine damage.
Parallel operation enables the power combination (Table 1)
of 2 inverter generators, regardless of the model.
This connection is possible with the use of parallel
connection cables, which allow a higher output power
compared to individual use.
All models of VITO inverter generators are designed to
operate either alone or in parallel.

Before any maintenance or cleaning work, place the
appliance on an even surface, and remove the cap
from the spark plug.
Do not run the engine with low oil level as this can
cause serious engine damage.
1. Place the generator on a firm and steady floor;
2. Remove the oil level inspection cover (5A) and oil filler
cap;
3. Using the funnel, fill the specified quantity of

recommended oil (15W40) and fit the filler cap;

5. Place the generator on a level floor surface, and warm up
the engine for a few minutes. Then turn 3 in 1 switch to

7. Remove the oil filler cap;

8. Place an oil tray under the generator. Tilt the generator

so as to remove the oil from the tank;
9. Make sure you have the generator on a level surface when

10. Add oil up to the level;

11. Clean the cap and any oil that may have spilled;
12. Replace the tank cap;
13. Fit the cover and tighten the bolts.
