Maintenance / Care
WARNING !
Danger due to compressed air.
Only perform maintenance and
¾
cleaning work on the device when
the air supply is disconnected.
Dusts from materials can be harmful to
health.
Use a dust mask or respirator.
¾
Risk of injury or material damage.
Clean and service the device only
¾
when it is disconnected from the
compressed air supply.
Keep the casing dry, clean and free from oil.
Never use brake fluid, petrol or solvent for
cleaning.
Check screws for tight fitting.
Regularly check that the speed of the device is not
greater than the speed specified on the device.
• Perform these speed checks without a clamped
on abrasive and according to the manufacturers
instructions.
Check the device for heightened vibrations.
Regularly check whether the spindle or spindle
thread are damaged or worn.
CAUTION !
CAUTION !
Compressed air supply
When compressed air is produced in a compressor,
the natural air humidity condenses and collects
as condensation in the pressure tank and pipes.
This condensation must be removed by a water
separator.
Check and drain the water separator daily, other-
wise corrosion can arise in the compressed air
system and the device resulting in increased wear.
Outlets that are provided for the devices should be
equipped with a compressed air service unit (filter/
water separator/oiler) directly at the coupling point.
Check oilers daily and fill with the recommended
oil.
The air volume is as important as the air pressure.
Soiling in the hose connectors or water in the system
can impair the air flow. Consequently an insufficient
volume of air is available at the device although the
indicated pressure is sufficiently high.
Check the compressed air supply and com-
pressed air source for soiling and water.
