- This stainless steel pressure cooker is desi-
gned for domestic use only. The reinforced
double metal base ensures that heat is trans-
ferred evenly. This pressure cooker is suitable
for gas, electric, vitro-ceramic and induction
hobs .
- The pressure cooker is equipped with vari-
ous safety mechanisms:
- Pressure control valve: The valve operates
up to 60 kPa. This weighted valve is stable and
safe.
- Safety valve: In the event of abnormal pressu-
re or if the pressure control valve malfunctions,
steam will escape through the safety valve. If
the lid is not closed correctly, then no pressu-
re will build up inside the pot and steam will
constantly escape out between the seal and
the body as well as through the safety valve. In
this case, turn off the cooker and close the lid
properly. Do not open the pressure cooker until
the valve pin has lowered.
- There are various safety mechanisms to
reduce the pressure and to ensure that the
pressure cooker operates correctly. (Fig. 3)
USE
BEFORE USE:
- Read this instruction manual carefully, especi-
ally the safety recommendations.
- Before using the product for the first time, clean
the parts that will come into contact with food in
the manner described in the cleaning section.
- To remove any possible manufacturing odours,
half fill the pot with water, close the lid, and
heat. Ten minutes after decompressing the air
inside the pot using the pressure control valve,
take the pot off the heat source.
- Once cool and free from pressure, the water
can be poured away and the pressure cooker
cleaned and dried.
FILLING WITH WATER:
- Fill the receptacle taking care to observe the
MAX and MIN level.
WORKING PRESSURE:
- This pressure cooker can be operated at one
pressure. (60 kPa)
- It is also possible to release the internal pres-
sure by removing the pressure control valve,
pulling it in the direction shown by the arrow.
CARRY HANDLES:
- This appliance has side handles to allow it to
be moved about with ease.
OPERATION
CAUTION:
- For safety purposes check the safety valve and
control valve before each use, making sure that
they move freely.
- Do not use the pressure cooker unless it con-
tains at least 0.25 l of water or other liquid. Do
not fill the pressure cooker above two-thirds of
its height. When preparing food that expands
or froths, only fill the pot 1/3 full.
- To close it: Place the lid on top of the body
so that the locking bar lines up with its anchor
points and then turn the knob clockwise until it
clamps home. ( Fig4)
- Fit the pressure control valve.
- Place the pressure cooker on the hob and turn
the hob up to full power to build up the pressu-
re quickly. When the pressure cooker reaches
the set pressure, the pressure control valve will
automatically expel steam. When this happens,
turn down the heat a little so that the steam
escapes at a constant rate.
CAUTION:
- When lifting the pressure cooker, always hold it
by both handles and never only by the knob on
the lid. Take care when moving the pressure
cooker and place it on a stable, flat cooking
surface.
- Do not leave the pressure cooker unsupervised
while it is heating. Always exercise caution
when using it.
- If the pressure cooker does not work properly,
the problem must be rectified immediately
before continuing to use it.
- For safety reasons, always respect the indica-
ted filling quantity to avoid total evaporation of
liquids and cooking dry, as well as clogging the
safety mechanisms.
SWITCHING OFF THE HOB
- After the recommended cooking time has elap-
sed, switch off the cooking hob. By doing this,
the temperature of the pressure cooker drops
while it continues to cook the food inside it .
REDUCING THE PRESSURE:
- Switch off the hob. Leave the pressure cooker
to depressurise and reach room temperature.
Wait until the control valve drops. There are
