INSTALLATION AND CONTROLS BEFORE THE USE
Check if the bar (6) and the chain (5) have been well assembled and if the chain tension is adequate.
Check all the fixing screws for correct tightening.
Check the oil in the air compressor lubricator glass. If necessary, top up with Campagnola BIG FLU or FUDY FLU
lubricating oil. The lack of oil may cause seizing to the chain.
The lubrication is automatic and has been previously regulated in the air compressor.
Adjust the working pressure at 10 bar.
For a proper chain pruner use, connect it to a straight air hose having a 8 mm inner diameter and being not longer than
50 m.
Before connecting the tool to the air supply, check that the fittings and couplings are clean in their inner part.
Regulate the air lubrication using Campagnola BIG FLU or FUDY FLU oil. When necessary, top up the oil in the air
compressor lubricator.
WARNING !
Do not use salvaged oil. It could damage the lubricator and the chain pruner.
Before topping up the oil, adjust the lubricator inlet pressure at zero bar by means of the knob on the regulator. Clean the
area around the cap, so that no impurities may get into the power supply hose.
5.

USE OF THE CHAIN PRUNER

5.1 Use

Connect the tool to the power supply hose.
Hold the tool with both hands.
At the end of the task, insert the bar cover (12) to protect the chain (5).
SAFETY RULE ABOUT THE KICKBACK
The kickback can be caused when the bar (6) upper part touches an object, or when the wood gets locked or
crushed during the cut. Hold the chain pruner firmly with both hands in order to avoid or reduce the kickback
effect. The knowledge and the prevention of any kickback eliminates the 'surprise factor' and reduces, therefore,
any accident possibilities. Check that the cutting area is free from obstacles.

5.2 Improper uses

Do not operate a chain pruner when one's balance is unstable.
Do not cut materials which are different from wood.
Do not use the chain pruner as a lever or to lift, move or break any objects.
Do not use the chain pruner if the atmosphere is explosive or inflammable.

5.3 Norm working and sectioning

Start cutting more or less ¼ of the diameter of the trunk upper part, then carry out the cut of the lower part. This way the
cutting will be perfect and the bar (6) will not get locked in the trunk.
WARNING !
If the wood locks the chain (5) while cutting, stop the tool, lift the trunk and change its position. Do not try to
free the chain (5) by pulling the tool from the handle.

5.4 Tool transport

When carrying the tool, keep its bar (6) backwards and inside its bar cover (12).
In case of long transports keep the tool in its packaging.
