2. Check the gas hose or pipe for leakage using a
foaming agent, e. g. soap.
!

Do not use a flame or corrosive liquid to
check the gas supply for leaks.
Mounting the cooktop and gas oven
1. Ensure sufficient distance from the walls and

Operation
!
WARNING! Explosion hazard
• Ignite the burners as soon as the gas
supply is switched on. Otherwise, gas
may accumulate in the burner area and
cause an explosion.
• The entire ignition process must be vis-
ible from above and must not be
obscured by cookware placed on the
cooktop.
A
NOTICE! Damage hazard
CU351MK only: Do not use the grill for
more than 25 minutes.
I
NOTE
• During the operation of the cooktop
and gas oven, a slight noise can be
heard, which is caused by the gas
escaping.
• Smoke can occur when using cooktop
and gas oven for the first time. This is
caused by deposits of machine oil
burning and stops after approx.
10 minutes.
• CU351MK only: The grill can not be
used as an oven.
• When using propane (G31) the flame is
blue without yellow peaks.
• When using butane (G30) the flame is
blue with yellow peaks when ignited.
The yellow peaks become more
intense when the burner is heated.

Regulating the burners
A
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Ensure that the baking sheet, oven rack
and the cookware do not come into con-
tact with the flames inside the oven.
I
NOTE
• After igniting the oven for the first time,
leave the oven on the highest tempera-
ture for least 30 minutes before regu-
lating it.
• After igniting the cooktop for the first
time, leave the corresponding cook-
top flame on the highest flame size for
15 – 20 minutes before regulating it.
➤Set the corresponding temperature control to
the desired temperature or flame size (see
chapter "Temperature knobs" on page 23 and
chapter "Oven temperature ranges" on
page 23).
✔ When the burner of the oven is ignited, the flame
remains at the highest flame. When the oven
reaches the set temperature, the flame automat-
ically returns to a lower flame.

The flame must not extend beyond the
edge of the cookware. Center the cook-
ware over the burner and provide a
