Risk of severe injuries
For safety reasons, always use the
¾
cut-off safety hood when working
with cutting wheels.
Two-hole nut (depending on
configuration)
Tightening the two-hole nut
Attention!
The two sides of the two-hole nut [10] are
different.
Screw the two-hole nut [10] onto the spindle as
follows:
With thin grinding wheels
• The collar of the two-hole nut [10] faces upwards
so that the thin grinding wheel can be securely
clamped.
With thick grinding wheels
• The collar of the two-hole nut [10] faces down-
wards so that the two-hole nut can be securely
screwed onto the spindle.
▸
Lock the spindle.
▸
Tighten the two-hole nut in clockwise direction
using the two-hole wrench [9].
Loosening the two-hole nut
▸
Lock the spindle.
▸
Unscrew the two-hole nut [10] in anti-clockwise
direction using the two-hole wrench [9].
Quick-clamping nut (depending on
configuration)
Tightening the quick-clamping nut
Attention!
Only attach the quick-clamping nut [11] to
machines with the "quick-clamping system".
Attention!
If the grinding wheel [12] is thicker than 6,8 mm
in the clamping area, the quick-clamping nut must
not be used!
Use the two-hole nut [10] with two-hole
¾
wrench [9].
▸
Lock the spindle.
26
CAUTION!
▸
Push quick-clamping nut [11] onto the
spindle [16]so that the two lugs engage in the
two grooves of the spindle.
▸
Tightening the quick-clamping nut in clockwise
direction by hand.
▸
Tighten the quick-clamping nut further by turning
the grinding wheel firmly in clockwise direction.
Loosening the quick-clamping nut
Attention!
Only when the quick-clamping nut [11] is
¾
fitted may the spindle be stopped using the red
spindle locking knob [17]!
▸
The machine runs on after switching off. Just be-
fore the grinding wheel comes to a standstill, press
the red spindle locking knob [17].
The quick-clamping nut [11] is loosened auto-
3
matically by approx. half a turn and can then be
unscrewed without additional force or tools.
Operation
Setting the spindle speed (depending
on configuration)
▸
Set the recommended spindle speed at adjustment
wheel [2].
— (Small number = low speed; large number = high
speed)
• Cutting and roughing wheel, grinding brush,
diamond cut-off wheel: high speed
• Brush: medium speed
• Grinding disc: low to medium speed
