Air pump

The air pumps supply the stages 1 and 2 with
the oxygen required for the biological treat-
ment.
Checking the air pumps
When the air pumps are switched on, the sub-
strate in stage 1 and 2 must move evenly. (Mi-
nor dead spots in the corners do not matter).
If that is not the case, please check:
The hose connections between the air
•
pumps and the diaphragm aerators.
The air pumps' filters for contamination, if
•
necessary replace filters.
The diaphragm aerators for contamination /
•
obstruction, if necessary clean.
