Information for the operator
In addition to the safety information, please
observe the following principles:
Permanently label all tapping points for
•
service water with the notice "no drinking
water". This also applies to garden taps.
If you are using detachable or lockable
•
twist handles on publicly accessible dis-
charge fittings, these may not be replaced
by an upper part with T-handle. Remove
the twist handle after the fitting has been
used or lock it.
If any changes of the water with regard to
•
smell, colour and / or suspended solids are
noticed at the tapping points, check the fa-
cility. If necessary, call in an expert.
Do not use any chemicals or additives to
•
operate and clean the facility.
There may be no connection between the
•
drinking and service water.
Lock the tapping points and service water
•
lines that are not frost-protected in due time
before the onset of sudden frost and drain
them.
If there is danger of frost during longer pe-
•
riods of standstill or in case of outdoor stor-
age, ensure that the facility is completely
drained and that pumps and pipelines are
free of water.
Avoid any static loads (e.g. by appending
•
objects) on all intake, overflow, draining
and tapping lines.
Details about water savings to be achieved
•
are approximations and depend on facility
operation.
