Air Pressure Range
Working pressures vary depending on what type of work is being done, the type of surface, what
spray characteristics are desired, paint viscosity and the air cap used.
Generally, thicker paints or higher paint flow will require higher pressures.
SPEED AND UNIFORMITY OF
PRODUCTS CORRECT
LOW SPEED
- Low inlet pressure
- Large fluid nozzle
- High product viscosity
HIGH SPEED
- High inlet pressure
- Small fluid nozzle
- Low product viscosity
Painting Techniques
The displacement of the gun must be parallel to the surface to be painted.
Flat
surface
SUPPLY
INCORRECT
- Needle regulator too closed.
- Needle and/or nozzle damaged
UNEVEN
SUPPLY
- Overprinting caused by narrowing in the
pressure due to not respecting the sections
that the paint must pass through
Curved
surface
