Attaching and Removing Sanding Belts
(Fig. C)

Attaching
1. Move the belt tensioning lever

Attaching and Removing the Dust
Deflector (Fig. E
nOTE: Always attach the deflector 
deflector is securly attached during all sanding usage. The
sander should not be run without the dust deflector in place.
nOTE: Keep the dust deflector exhaust away from your face
no matter the orientation.
Attaching
1. Align the deflector with the tool as shown.
2. Slide the deflector onto the tool and ensure it is
securely located.
Removing
1. Pull the deflector to the rear and off the tool.

WARNING: Attach the deflector before using the tool
on workpieces which contain metal.
Attaching and Removing Knife
Sharpener (Fig. F)
nOTE: Use knife sharpener 
Remove knife sharpener before sanding.
Attaching
1. Unscrew the knife sharpener nut 
arm bolt

Removing

OPERATION

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An
accidental start‑up can cause injury.

WARNING: ALWAYS use safety glasses. Everyday
eyeglasses are NOT safety glasses.

WARNING: Severe abrasion hazard. Always hold tool
firmly with one hand on the switch handle. Never
operate the Powerfile in an inverted stationary position.

DO nOT place your finger or any object in the opening
on the under side of the sanding arm.

WARNING: Keep fingers and foreign objects away
from the openings where the sanding belt enters and
exits the tool houseing.
nOTE: This attachment only operates in the forward
direction, the forward/reverse slider of the Power Unit should
not be able to be switched to reverse.
Let the tool work at its own pace.
Do not overload.
Proper Hand Position (Fig. G)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.

sudden reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the main
handle

Variable‑Speed Control
The variable‑speed trigger on the Power Unit allows you to
adapt the speed of the tool to the workpiece material.
Use a low speed setting when using a fine grit, when
working with plastics or ceramics and when removing
painted or varnished surfaces. Use a high speed setting
when using a coarse grit and when removing a lot
of material.
Switching On and Off

WARNING: Ensure the dust deflector is in place before
turning the powerfile on.
1. To switch the tool on, press the on/off switch of the
Power Unit.
2. To switch the tool off, release the on/off switch of the
Power Unit.
Dust Collection

WARNING: To prevent accidental operation, turn off
and remove battery before installing the dust deflector.
