Reset modes supported by the product
The product supports three different reset modes. The
modes differ in the firmware version loaded and in the
network settings.
Resets are initiated by the length of time the recessed reset
button is pressed. Resets can be initiated only after the
product has been switched on for at least five seconds.

The default setting for the firmware and for the
standard network settings cannot be changed,
not even by updating the firmware.
Performing a reset in one of the two default
settings modes does not delete the most recent
firmware update. For information on reading out
the firmware version, see the User's Manual for
Application Development.
After the product has been switched on, it boots
the most recently stored firmware. This is the
firmware version that was loaded during the
most recent update.
The firmware update is installed via a connected
PC and is described in the User's Manual for
Application Development, see "Notes on reading
the documentation", page 21.
Blinking pattern of the "STATUS" LED during a reset
Pressing and holding the reset button results in the Reset
modes being displayed by means of different blinking
patterns of the STATUS LED:
Mode 1:
Mode 2:
Mode 3:
32
The product starts the respective reset mode once the
Reset button is released.
If the Reset button is pressed, then the various blinking
patterns of the STATUS LED show the currently selected
reset mode (which will be activated when the Reset button
is released).
For information about the location of the reset button, see
"Rear panel", page 26.

EIB 749: Remote reset
If a remote reset button is connected to the connection for
an external remote reset switch (see "EIB 749: Connecting
a remote reset button", page 30), this button can be used to
initiate a reset remotely.
The Remote Reset functions in the same way as the reset
initiated by a reset button on the product.
