To charge the battery:

2
► Push the battery (1) into the charger (3) until it stops.
The right LED on the charger (2) flashes green when the
battery is being charged.
The charging process is complete when the right LED on
the charger continuously glows green.
The charger turns itself off when the battery is fully
charged. The LED will continue to glow green.
► Remove the battery from the charger and disconnect the
power supply cord from the wall outlet when charging is
complete.
A new battery is not fully charged. STIHL recommends that
you fully charge the battery before using it for the first time.
Operate the charger only indoors, in dry rooms and within an
ambient temperature range of 41 °F to 104 °F (5 °C to
40 °C).
The battery heats up during operation of the garden shears.
If a hot battery is inserted into the charger, it may be
necessary for it to cool down before charging starts. The
charging process begins only after the battery has cooled
down sufficiently.
Charging time depends on a number of factors, including
battery condition and ambient temperature. For a complete
list of approximate charging times, see www.stihl.com/
charging-times.

If the LED glows red continuously: the battery is
too hot or too cold for charging. Allow the battery
to warm up or cool down gradually at an ambient
temperature of about 50 °F to 68 °F (10 °C to
20 °C).
If the LED flashes red: the battery or the charger
has a malfunction.
If the LED flashes green: the battery is being
charged.
If the LED glows green continuously: the battery
