Escaping fuel will create
an explosive petrol/air mix-
ture. Deflagration, explo-
sion and fire can lead to
serious and even fatal inju-
ries if fuel is not handled
properly.

Never store the engine
in front of naked flames
or heat sources.
■
Never operate the en-
gine in a flammable en-
vironment.
If the lawn tractor is idled for longer than 2 to 3
months, the fuel must be drained off to avoid de-
posits in the fuel system. With a shorter idle peri-
od, the fuel can be protected with a fuel stabiliser.

1. Draining fuel from the carburettor:
■
Move the engine to the open air and let it
cool down.
■
Place the container for the fuel.
■
Unscrew and remove the drain plug
(06/1).
■
Let the fuel drain fully.
■
Replace the drain plug.
2. Clean the engine (see chapter 7.3 "Clean en-
gine and silencer (08)", page 32).
3. Storing the engine:
■
Store the engine in a well ventilated loca-
tion, and not in the vicinity of naked
flames or sources of heat.
■
Do not store the engine where electric
motors or power tools are operated.
■
Store protected from moisture.
