OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
HEAT SETTINGS
This heat gun has two heat settings and OFF set-
ting:
Low heat (L + lowest set-
ting on the heat wheel): For
use where the workpiece or
surroundings must not be al-
lowed to get too hot.
High heat (H + highest setting of heat wheel):
For faster heat up time of the workpiece where
you can also operate the gun at a greater dis-
tance.
OFF position: In this position the gun no longer
spews hot air and shuts off.
THERMAL PROTECTION OFF SWITCH
When the gun overheats (eg as a result of a re-
stricted air flow), the heating function will auto-
matically stop, but the air flow will continue to
operate. When the unit has cooled sufficiently,
the heat function will be activated again and
the operation can continue.
OPERATION
Before starting work, it is recommended that
you test the work piece to verify what tempera-
ture you should use. Later they are suggested;
what temperature to use and for what material,
but remember to always start operating at the
lowest temperature.
The distance between the nozzle and the work
piece should vary according to the material in
which it will be used, even so, it must be at least
5 cm as minimum distance or more. All appli-
cations, with the exception of removing paint
from window frames, can be used without the
use of nozzles, but, for best results, the use of
nozzles for established jobs is recommended.

NOZZLES
Your heat gun may not contain one or more of
the accessories shown here:
ROUND NOZZLE
This nozzle directs a concen-
trated heat flow to the work-
piece. It is ideal for use when
removing paint in awkward
corners, crevices, mouldings,
beading, architraves or when-
ever precise paint removal is
required.
One of the nozzles has a nar-
rower end so it can direct the
hot air directly to the piece of
work.
FLAT NOZZLE
This nozzle directs a long
narrow heat pattern to the
workpiece, and is ideal for re-
moving paint or varnish from
large flat surfaces such as
skirting boards, doors,
stairs etc. It should be used in conjunction with
a flat scraper. Vinyl tiles can be removed by soft-
ening the tile and adhesive.
GLASS PROTECTION NOZZLE
This nozzle deflects the heat
away from glass or other frag-
ile areas and back onto the
workpiece.
