5.3 Adjusting the cutting length

5.4 Attachment combs

The attachment combs 15 with the lengths 1.5 mm; 3 mm; 4.5 mm
and 6 mm can be attached to the cutter head 2.
Please observe: the cutting length of the attachment comb and the
cutting length set on the appliance are added up.
Attaching the attachment comb
1. Switch off the appliance by turning the
rotary switch 3 to the position 0.
2. Push the desired attachment comb 15
onto the cutter head 2 until the safety but-
ton 14 clicks into place.
Removing the attachment comb
1. Switch off the appliance by turning the
rotary switch 3 to the position 0.
2. Using the thumb, press against the safety
button 14 from the bottom and push the
attachment comb 15 off the cutter
head 2.
• Using the cutting-length
lever 4, set the cutting
length continuously
between 0.5 and 3.5 mm.

6 Cleaning and care

DANGER! Risk of electric shock
Pull the power unit 9 out of the power socket, ...
– before removing or attaching the cutter head 2 and
– before cleaning the appliance.
Ensure that the power unit cannot be plugged in again during the
activity.
WARNING! Risk of material damage
In order to avoid increased wear of cutter head 2 and motor, the
cutter head must be cleaned and oiled regularly.
With regular use, the cutter head 2 should be thoroughly cleaned
and oiled at least once a day.
NOTE: CLIPPERCIDE spray
For an optimal care of the cutter head 2, we recommend the regular
use of CLIPPERCIDE spray - for cleaning, disinfecting and oiling in
one work step (see "Ordering spare parts" on page 24). Please follow
the manufacturer's instructions for use.
