4 Preparation
4.1 Changing the mains plug adapter
The appliance is supplied with a mains plug adapter 8. If you need a
different plug type, you may order respective mains plug adapters
(see "Ordering spare parts" on page 24).
DANGER! Risk of electric shock
Use only the original mains plug adapters.
NOTE: ensure that you do not bend the pins of the power unit 9.
1. Press the release key 7, while pulling off
the mounted mains plug adapter 8.
2. Insert the mains plug adapter 8 into the
power unit 9. Ensure that the release
key 7 is located at the top and audibly
clicks into place.
4.2 Connector cable: using the clip
With the clip 13 at the connector cable 12 you can form a loop to
hang up the appliance.
1. Push the clip 13 to the point of the con-
nector cable 12 where the bottom end of
the loop should be.
Use the connector cable to form a loop
and press it into the open side of the clip.
2. Pull the connector cable 12 downward
using the open side of the clip 13 until
the loop is stable.
4.3 Remove/ put on the protective cap
• Before working with the hair clippers 6,
push the protective cap 1 off the cutter
head 2.
4.4 Relocating the cutting-length lever
You can relocate the cutting-length lever 4 to the other side, in order
to adjust the appliance to your preferences during handling.
DANGER! Risk of injury from cutting
Pull the power unit 9 out of the power socket before you relocate
the cutting-length lever 4. Ensure that the power unit cannot be
plugged in again during this activity.
