I. IDENTIFICATION
A. CHASSIS IDENTIFICATION
The chassis identification number is cold headed on to right-hand side-rail, at the
front axle. It consists of 17 characters and starts with the characters VM3.
• The maker's name plate is valid in every country except Italy, which has its
own name plates (see Page 7).

a: Vehicle identification number
b: Admissible laden weight
c: Maximum admissible load - axle 1
d: Maximum admissible load - axle 2
e: Maximum admissible load – axle 3
f: Maximum admissible fifth wheel load
g: Order No.
h: Overall length
i: Overall width
j and k: Distance between the trailer kingpin
and the rear of the chassis(j = k).
As a rule, the other boxes are not filled in.
