TOOL SET FOR BROKEN GLOW PLUGS REMOVAL
1952 003 720 - MODULE 1
Use the "roller" extractor suitable (among the three supplied Ø2.5 -
Ø3.5 - Ø4) to remove the terminal part of the electrode of the spark
plug (fig. 4).
Reference codes: 1952 003 201, 1952 003 202,
1952 003 203
Tools required: Wrench □ 3/8"
If necessary, in the case part of the central electrode should
remain, take the conical driving sheath (among the two
provided with inner hole Ø2.7 - Ø3.6) and put it on the
remained part of electrode (fig. 5).
Reference codes: 1952 003 204, 1952 003 205
Use the extension + bit suitable (among the two supplied with tip
Ø2.7 or Ø3.6) to remove the portion of the electrode remained
(fig. 5).
Reference codes: 1952 003 206, 1952 003 207
Tools required: Electric drill
Make the pilot hole for the extraction of the glow plug (fig. 6)
using the long cylindrical spiral bit Ø5,5 (M10) or Ø4,5 (M9, M8)
included in the kit.
Reference codes: 1952 003 209, 1952 003 208
Tools required: Electric drill
Use the extension + bit with 2 diameters and begin the drilling
operation, taking care to drill in small sections (1 to 2 mm) and blow
to remove the metal shavings, until the bit reaches the stop shoulder
and removes completely the threaded part of the glow plug.
In this way you have removed the upper part of the glow plug.
Reference codes: 1952 003 212 (+1952 003 213), 1952
003 211, 1952 003 210
Tools required: Electric drill
If necessary (engine size) use the extension for
bit-holder code 1952 003 220.
Use the ¼ -28 UNF male (M10) or 12-28 UNF male (M9, M8) +
extension and start the manual threading operation for removing the
spark plug (fig. 7).
