4.3 Connecting the product
Connection to an APC 300:
WARNING! Risk of injury! Do not activate the electrosurgical unit
while you are connecting the adapter.
1. Switch the APC 300 and the electrosurgical unit on.

2. Insert the HF connector of the adapter (1) into the multi-
functional receptacle of the APC 300. The connector must
distinctly click.
3. Screw the argon gas connection of the adapter (2) into the
argon gas receptacle of the APC 300.
4. Once the adapter is connected a standard value for gas flow
is set automatically on the APC 300. If required, this value
can be changed within a certain range. After connecting the
APC probe to the adapter you must adjust the settings on the
electrosurgical unit manually. Please remember it is essen-
tial to use the recommended settings that are provided in the
instructions for the particular APC probe that is being used.
