14. Battery
ATTENTION:
explosion may result in damage to equipment and serious injuries.
• Avoid contact with eyes, skin, fabrics and painted surfaces. The fluid contains sulfuric acid, which can cause
injuries and damages in the event of direct contact. In case of contact with skin, clean the area with water and
seek medical attention immediately.
• Keep it away from children.
• Do not tilt an open battery.
Connecting the Battery Cables
Before connecting the charging cables to a batterty that is installed in a vehicle, disconnect the terminal of the
negative pole of the battery of the vehicle.
Do not connect the 12vcc output to the vehicle's circuit.
• Connect the positive cable to the battery's positive terminal
• Connect the positive cable to the generator's positive terminal.
• Connect the negative cable to the battery's negative terminal
• Connect the negative cable to the generator's negative terminal.
• Start the generator.
WARNING: Connect the 12 Vcc output to the vehicle's circuit, as it might result in damages to the generator or
to the vehicle.
An overloaded circuit will fuse the fuse. if this happens, substitute the fuse.
If the battery requires too much charge or if there is a problem of connections, the switch might act, in this case,
wait some minutes and arm the switch again.
If the switch keeps disarming repetitively, stop the procedure and look for an authorized assistant.
Disconnecting the battery cables
• Turn the generator's engine off.
• Disconnect the negative cable from the generator's negative terminal (BLACK) .
• Disconnect the negative cable from the battery's negative terminal.
• Disconnect the positive cable from the generator's positive terminal (RED).
• Disconnect the positive cable from the battery's positive terminal.
• Reconnect the vehicle's cables to the battery.
15. Operation in high altitude
In high altitude the mixture air-fuel will be extremely rich. Performance will decrease and the consumption of
fuel will increase.
Performance in high altitude can be improved through the substitution of the gicleur for a smaller diameter and
throough the readjustment of the mixing screw. If you always operate the generator in altitudes above 1500m, it
is recommended that you do this substitution in an authorized dealer.
Even with the appropriate gicleur to the work in high altitudes, the engine power decreases around 3.5% every
300m of elevation. The altitude effect will be greater than this if no modification is done in the carburetor.
Keep materials that radiate heat away from the battery to prevent explosion. Battery
