containing water.
Protect the appliance from moisture and
splashing water and do not operate it with
wet hands.
In the vicinity of any water source, there is
a risk even when the appliance is switched
off. Therefore, always remove the plug from
the wall socket after use, especially if the
appliance is being used in a bathroom.
Additional protection is available by fitting
an earth-leakage circuit-breaker with a rated
tripping current not exceeding 30mA into
your bathroom installation. Please consult a
qualified electrician.
The heating plates operate at very high
temperatures. Caution: skin contact with
these parts may cause burns. Do not touch
any part of the appliance except the grip

As the heating plates operate at high
temperatures, contact with the hair should
be limited to a maximum of a few seconds

Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair-

Before the appliance is used, the main

onto a hard surface, it must no longer be
used: even invisible damage may have
adverse effects on its operational safety.
The power cord should be regularly
examined for any signs of damage. In the
event of such damage being found, the
appliance must no longer be used.
Do not operate the appliance if excessive
force has been used to pull the power cord.
Damage cannot always be detected from
the outside; the entire unit should therefore
be checked by a qualified technician before
it is used again.
