SCOTT TRACKER HELMET
I. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on purchasing this premium product from SCOTT! Please read the
instructions on handling, storage, care, cleaning and the safety functions thoroughly.
II. SAFETY
Read through these warnings  :
1- All safety equipment has its limits. Carefully read and follow all the instructions.
2- This helmet is intended only for the following activities: skiing and snowboarding.
IT IS NOT INTENDED TO BE USED FOR MOTOR SPORTS, ON MOPEDS OR FOR
OTHER USES.
3- This helmet was designed to absorb the impact through partial destruction of
the energy-absorbing foam insert. This damage may not always be directly vis-
ible. If the helmet was subjected to a serious impact, it should be destroyed and
replaced – even if it seems undamaged.
4- No snow-sport or mountaineering helmet is capable of protecting the wearer
from all accidents. Depending on the impact, serious or fatal head injuries may
result even from accidents at slow speeds.
5- A helmet can only protect the part of the head that it covers; it cannot protect
your face, throat and neck.
6- Please always be careful and act with caution when skiing and snowboarding.
Observe the safety regulations, the International Ski Federation rules (FIS) and do
your part in avoiding accidents.
You are responsible for the following  :
1- Always make sure your helmet fits properly.
2- Always fasten the buckle and tighten the strap.
3- First check that your helmet is properly adjusted every time you wear it.
4- Regularly examine your helmet for signs of wear or visible damage.
5- Never wear a helmet that has already cushioned a severe impact.
6- Never attach anything to your helmet if the manufacturer does not issue a decla-
ration of no objection for that item. As a rule, helmet-compatible ski goggles can
be attached to the helmet with a elastic band.
7- Avoid wearing other people's helmets.
8- Never wear anything hard or sharp under your helmet.
9- NEVER TAKE ANY UNNECESSARY RISKS JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE WEARING
A HELMET.
10- Only use original spare parts recommended by the manufacturer. Your SCOTT
specialist dealer will gladly help you.
11- Keep this information brochure in a safe place for product-specific questions.
SCOTT SPORTS shall not accept complaints or replace helmets that have been
used improperly.
Class A and B helmets are for alpine skiers, snowboarders and similar groups. Class
A helmets offer comparatively more protection. Class B helmets may offer greater
ventilation and better hearing but protect a smaller area of the head and give lesser
degree of protection from penetration.
