SCOTT SOLDIER ELBOW & KNEE GUARDS
• I. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on choosing this quality SCOTT product. Before use, please read the fol-
lowing instructions carefully. Please keep these instructions in safe custody. This specif-
ic product line has been developed to offer you the best comfort and an engineered fit.
• II. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
These protectors are considered to be items of Personal Protector Equipment (PPE)
of Category II and as such are subject to the requirements laid down by the European
directive 89/686/EEC. The CE marking may be allocated by SCOTT only once the pro-
tector has undergone an "EC Type Examination" or "Certification Procedure" at a noti-
fied European body.
The protectors in this information sheet undergo EC certification at a Notified Europe-
an Body, Italcert (NB0426), Viale Sarca 336, 20126 Milano, Italy which certifies that our
products meet the requirements of directive 89/686/EEC.
ELBOW | KNEE
The protection pads have been examined and certified according to EN 1621-1:2012 and
have been classified as type A, level 1.
• III. INTENDED USE
This protector is strictly limited for the respective use and temperatures indicated by
the pictograms on the approval label (see chapter VI. Info on product). The protector
is explicitly not to be used above or below indicated temperatures, nor for other kinds
of sports.
• IV. USER RESTRICTIONS

APPLICATION AREA

The elbow and knee protectors are designed and manufactured to provide limited pro-
tection against the risk of impact in the event of a fall. All protector plates provide a lim-
ited protection only in areas covered by the plates. They can arch both forward and
backward to simulate and support natural movement. These backwards movements
prevent the direct transmission of forces to the edge of the protector.
LIMITATION OF USE
ELBOW AND KNEE
These protectors do not safeguard against traumas caused by twisting, torsion or
extreme movements. They provide this mentioned limited protection only in areas
covered by the plastic plates. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept any complaints aris-
ing from the use of these products where the pads and the protection plates are not
applied.
MISUSES
Bending or twisting the protector excessively is considered improper use and it may
cause the loss of protection properties or breakage of the gear.
We recommend that the protector is not left outside or exposed to high or low tem-
peratures before use. During use the protector temperature must not drop below -10°C.
Changes in environmental conditions such as temperature and wetness could signifi-
cantly reduce the performance of the protector. Product modifications may cause the
