9. Maintenance and care
Do not clean drive units using a high pressure cleaner!
Clean and lightly grease the spindles regularly. Please use a lubricant that does not form dirt (e.g.
Teflon spray)
Check the capacity of the battery for caravans with built in on-board battery.
Check the batteries of your remote control before starting each journey and if necessary carry spare
batteries (2 x 1.5V Micro LR03 AAA).
Slacken the motor plug on the emergency unlocking plate.
I.e. slacken the screw on the motor plug using the Allan key
supplied.
Turn the motor until the plug opening is horizontal.
Then let the emergency unlocking device click into place by
Moto r
pushing in the direction of the arrow.
Locking the motor-driven spindle drive means that the
steady can no longer be manually operated.
Push the motor plug into the plug opening provided on the
motor and screw tight again with the aid of the M5 hexago-
nal screw onto the emergency unlocking plate.
(see 6.1 with Fig 9!)
- Do not over tighten the plug!
- The motor plug is coded and can only be inserted in
one position.
Fitting the plug to the motor driven spindle drive reinstates
the automatic operation.
The steadies can now be automatically operated again.
