6.2 Determining the assembly location and fitting variation for the control unit
The control unit and remote control are designed for use in a protected environment with a
temperature of -10°C to +45°C.
Do not fit the control next to easily flammable objects or liquids (e.g. gas)! I.e. do not fit the
control unit in rooms where gas bottles are stored!
Never subject the control or remote control unit to the following influences: Heat sources, di-
rect radiation or other electrical equipment.
Protect the control unit and remote control from damp, dust, aggressive liquids and vapours.
The control unit can be mounted in a variety of positions within the caravan. The button on the control
device must always be pushed briefly to activate the system. Please take this into consideration when
selecting a location.
In highly visible areas fitting positions as per Fig 11 are recommended (e.g. entrance area left/right -
>without mounting plate!).
In non-visible areas the fitting positions as per Fig. 13 are recommended (e.g. storage box ->with
mounting plate!)

Mark out the recess for the control unit.
Width = 168 mm
Height = 122 mm
Pay attention to the fitting depth!
(at least 50 mm)
Apply adhesive tape to the area to be sawn to
prevent the edges from chipping/splitting.
Saw out the marked recess.

Further possibilities for fitting the E.C.S. con-
trol unit are shown in Fig. 13.
Fix the mounting plate supplied, to the floor
or wall using 4 flat wood screws. Take care,
to not drill through supply wires. In spite
of the flexible fitting method (e.g. in the stor-
age box) ensure that access to the control
unit is easy (key).
Whatever location you choose (eg storage
box), ensure that the control unit is easily
accessible for operation.
