Caution!
Danger due to uncoupling of trailer! Always route
the breakaway cable through the breakaway cable
guide ring (

Attaching the breakaway cable
1. Loop the breakaway cable around the ball plate
(

Caution!
Do not use with removable coupling! If the cou-
pling is not correctly locked in position, there is a
risk of losing the coupling and the trailer.
2. Engage karabiner (snap-hook) on cable.
Possible variant 1
1. Thread the karabiner through the lug on the towing
vehicle (

2. Snap karabiner (snap-hook) onto cable.

Caution!
Only permissible with DIN 5299 snap hooks - min.

dead-centre position.

Always secure the trailer with chocks before
commencing any maintenance or preventive
maintenance work!
The overrun device is an integral part of the
braking system. Irrespective of the maintenance
intervals for the overrun device, the braking sys-
tem must be inspected in an authorized specialist
workshop after 1500 km or 6 months.
During maintenance, preventive maintenance and
inspection work, all system components must be
checked for operational safety and perfect technical
condition.
Disclaimer of liability
Checking the braking system does not dispense
with the need to carry out the prescribed mainte-
nance measures for the overrun device.
The manufacturer's liability does not extend to inju-
ries or material damage resulting from disregard of
the safety instructions or of the specified mainte-
nance work.
