8. Remount the lamp module. Pull the cable into the lamp housing via the exposed
back of the cooling flange to avoid that the cable get pinched.

9. Re-fit the two screws keeping the cooling flange and the lamp holder its
position.
10. Push the lamp cable inside the cooling flange.
11. Re-fit the cap at the back of the cooling flange.
12. Re-fit the two screws fastening the protective guard.
13. Start the instrument and allow it to perform the self-test.

Apart from regular user maintenance, FOSS also recommends that preventive
maintenance is performed at intervals according to the Preventive Maintenance
Protocol (see the Owner's Guide). During this maintenance all critical components
are replaced before they are worn out and have a negative impact on more complex
and expensive parts. This will help prevent unexpected downtime and also ensure
quality and consistency of results at the highest level. Contact your local FOSS
representative for yearly maintenance.
