Routine Start-up
Note: The secure digital (SD) card must always be inserted into
the instrument to enable saving of all results and instrument
data. Analyses can still be performed without an SD card but
results and instrument data will not be saved.
Note: To properly insert the SD card the brass fingers on the card
should be facing towards the analyzer. Insert the card into the
slot, you will hear a click when the card is fully seated. It is a
"Push to Click in and Push to Click out (Eject)" mechanism. When
ejecting, push the card in again and release. It should come out
far enough to grab with fingers.
1.
Connect the mains power cable to the instrument.
Caution
Infratec Sofia is to be connected to either 12 V DC (and NOT 24 V
DC) via Foss P/N 60024388, or to 100-240 V AC via a power adaptor
Foss P/N 60024086 (otherwise the CE-labelling of the instrument
can not be provided). Power adaptor may only be connected to
power outlet with protective earthing.
Caution
Do not move the SHW under any circumstances when the power
supply is connected to the instrument. This will damage the
motor connected to the SHW.
Wait for the instrument self-test to be completed (it takes approximately 10 minutes).
If the instrument does not pass the self-test, repeat the self-test procedure by
disconnecting and then reconnecting the instrument power supply. If problems
persist, contact your local service center.
