English
Mains connection 1~230 V (L, N, PE):
The mains is connected via a shock-proof plug for
a socket in accordance with VDE 0620.
Mains connection 3~400 V (L1, L2, L3, PE):
The mains is connected via a CEE plug for a CEE
socket in accordance with VDE 0623.
Motor contactor (terminals 2/T1, 4/T2, 6/T3)
The pumps are connected directly to the motor
contactor at the terminals 2/T1, 4/T2 and 6/T3
according to the wiring diagram (Fig.d2). The
grounding conductor is connected to the remain-
ing PE terminal.
SSM (terminals 11, 12, 13):
Connection for external collective fault signal,
potential-free changeover contact,
• min. contact load 12 V DC, 10 mA,
• max. contact load 250 V~, 1 A,
e.g. for connecting a horn, flashing light or alarm
switchgear (at potential-free input).
The contact is closed between terminals 12 and
13 in the event of an alarm, when the voltage fails,
or when the main switch is switched off.
Alarm (terminals 14, 15, 16):
Connection for the high-water alarm, potential-
free changeover contact,
• min. contact load 12 V DC, 10 mA,
• max. contact load 250 V~, 1 A,
e.g. for connecting a horn, flashing light or alarm
switchgear (at potential-free input).
In the case of an alarm, the contact is closed
between terminals 15 and 16.
GL (terminals 5, 6):
Connection for float switch for switching the
base-load pump
SL (terminals 7, 8):
Connection for float switch for switching the peak
load pump.
HW (terminals 9, 10):
Connection for high water float switch, as well as
for forced switch-on of the pump.
WSK pump 1 (terminals 1, 2):
Connection for the motor protection WSK (ther-
mal winding contact) for pump 1. The factory
installed bridge is to be removed when the pump
is connected with the thermal winding contact
with cable.
18
WSK pump 2 (terminals 3, 4):
Connection for the motor protection WSK (ther-
mal winding contact) for pump 2. The factory
installed bridge is to be removed when the pump
is connected with the thermal winding contact
with cable.
• After the electric connections are completed, put
the upper part of the housing carefully on the bot-
tom part. Tighten the fixing screws again.
8 Commissioning
Prior to commissioning the pump system with the
EC-Drain LS2 switchgear, check all settings such
as
• Voltage selection
• DIP switch settings (seed6.2.3 and 6.2.4) and the
setting of the nominal pump current (seed6.2.3),
• Follow-up time (seed6.2.5).
Direction of rotation check for (three-phase) ver-
sion only:
• If the phase sequence is incorrect, there is an
acoustic signal as well as an optical display by the
flashing of all LEDs in sequence in an anti-clock-
wise direction (running lights) and the collective
fault signal is active.
NOTE: To protect the pump from rotating in the
wrong direction, automatic start-up or switching
on by hand is not possible when the direction of
rotation check is triggered.
• In this case, the phase inverter in the CEE plug is to
be pressed in with a suitably sized screwdriver and
rotated by 180° (Fig.d3).

Inserting the rechargeable battery (accessory)
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
When working on the open switchgear, there is
a danger of electric shock from touching the live
components.
The work may only be carried out by skilled per-
sonnel.
To insert the rechargeable battery, switch the
device so it is voltage-free and secure it against
being switched on again without authorisation.
• Insert the rechargeable battery in the provided
holder. Make sure the polarity is correct.
• Fasten the rechargeable battery with the enclosed
cable tie (Fig.d2, itemd4).
