7.2 Switching on the fresh air cooling system
The first time the fresh air cooling system is used, slight odours
may build up. This odour is caused by a design feature and ends
after the system has been running for a short time.
Switching on the inverter (only on CB-1200-AC/DC)
Before switching on the fresh air cooling device, switch on the
inverter if no 230 V connection is available.
➤ To switch on the inverter, press the "Inverter ON/OFF" button on the con-
trol panel (2 7, page 3).
✓ The inverter is switched on. The "Inverter ON/OFF" LED (2 10, page 3)
glows green.

➤ Press the "ON/OFF" button (2 2, page 3) on the control panel.
✓ The "ON/OFF" LED (2 8, page 3) glows green. "WAECO CoolBreeze"
appears briefly in the display and then the last target temperature set is
displayed along with the last fan or cooling level set.
7.3 Using the fresh air cooling system
Fan mode / cooling mode
The fresh air cooling system has two operating modes.
In fan mode, fresh, non-cooled air from the outside is fed into the vehicle inte-
rior and the air on the interior is freshened in this way.
In cooling mode, fresh, non-cooled air from the outside is cooled at the heat
exchanger and the air in the interior is replaced by cool air.
➤ To access the "Fan/cooling mode" menu, press the "Blower setting" but-
ton (2 6, page 3) and hold it down for 5 seconds.
✓ The current blower setting appears briefly in the display, after 5 seconds
the display switches to the "Fan/cooling mode" menu.
➤ Use the "+" or "–" buttons (2 5 or 4, page 3) to switch between "Fan
mode" and "Cooling mode" and press the "Blower setting" button again
(2 6, page 3) to return to the standard display.
✓ When the fan mode is switched on, "F" appears in the display. You can
see if cooling mode has been switched on if the standard display appears,
i.e. the target temperature and the current blower level.
